Welcome to a brand new blog experiment. I call it an experiment, because I don’t know where this one will end. It could be over tomorrow, next week, next month, or still be around 10 years from now.
I’m reporting Paramaribo, Suriname, South America. The country I’m proud of, sometimes a little too proud for a lot of mishaps, sometimes not proud enough for its resilience. The truth is, we are still learning every day. No golden centuries in which we profited from labor of others, no centuries of building an infrastructure which we can now rely on. Banking largely on the natural resources, which we have plenty of as the most forested country in the world (90+% rainforest).
Just like my country, I’m also trying to find my way. As Edison famously said “I haven’t failed, I’ve just found 10000 ways that don’t work”, I find myself revising my strategy for the year 2021, which I wrote just 2 months ago. Why? Because,
– It isn’t working out the way I planned
– The current structure doesn’t make me a happier person
– It doesn’t keep me motivated
So, why am I not afraid to share that it doesn’t work and I’m starting over? Because
– Every time I started over, the newer version was an improvement over the old one
– The experience from and skills mastered during previous journeys actually give me a massive head start
– Most of the times, people don’t even notice the reboot
In this blog, I’m bringing several things together. First off, this will be my first post using Exxpio, a plugin that helps me publish my blog to the blockchain. What blockchain? Hive. Why Hive? Because it has been my home base for the past 3-4 years when it comes creating content. So, a little introduction, some answers to questions and some links to get started.
So… what will this blog be about?
It will be a little bit about everything. In general a freewrite of things that pop in and out of my mind. No rules. Some posts might be long, some might be a little shorter. It will include personal stuff, things that we talk about during the weekly podcasts (Social Confoes and/or Loeki Di Show), business ideas and anything that pops up.
Uhm… it is going to be Hive focused content isn’t it?
I’ll provide some context. For me, the journey on Hive has been quite a long one. And I do consider it my home, so yes, it will have a link to Hive. I started my Hive journey by freewriting daily, so this is also a tribute to writing more. Then Seven77 came along and I still want it back, because of the health aspect of it, which is now lacking in my life. And finally, the I Am Alive Challenge, which really started things of for me to do more with video. So, this is a way for me to integrate both. Yes, I will still upload to 3 Speak and I will continue to make other content. But, restarting the blog was long overdue.
Two of my favorite communities on Hive are CTPTalk (http://ctptalk.com/) and Leofinance (https://leofinance.io/), so I will focus on marketing and finance a little as well, even if it is just links to popular posts in the community.
